Stand By Me Animal Care is a funding foundation that responsibly manages and grows donor support, including legacy giving, and distributes it to credible animal welfare organisations across South Africa.
THIS MANDELA DAY, HELP US FIX BELLA’S BROKEN FENCE
Bella’s Guardian Angels Animal Rescue urgently needs to raise R67 000 to repair the damaged fencing around its animal enclosures.
The existing wooden structure has deteriorated and has already broken in several places. Strong, secure fencing is essential to protect the rescued animals and provide them with a safe environment while they receive care and wait for their permanent homes.
Until 18 July 2026, Stand By Me Animal Care will match donations made towards the fencing project, rand for rand, up to a total matching contribution of R32,000. This means your Mandela Day contribution will go twice as far.

Our founder, Leonie Lategan, is a Certified Financial Planner® with over 35 years of experience in professional money management. She is also a passionate animal lover who, together with several concerned clients, recognised the need for an intermediary organisation that could bridge the gap between generous donors and deserving rescue organisations.
